White Elephants

Had a lovely evening Monday night. Got to see the new Elephant issue, and then went for sushi with my friends at Elephant! It was a wonderful night, even though it was raining pretty bad on the way up and on the way back.

It was Admin day today, so I got a free day off (with pay) and lovely flowers (tulips to be exact) and everyone at work took me to lunch at the Rialto. I had the grilled Salmon and I highly recommend it! It was delish! It seems like I just can't get enough fish to satisfy me this week. Anyways, it has been a nice couple of days, and everyone has been so nice to me. Makes being the office admin worth it I guess.

All the colors of the rainbow

So, it has been a CRAZY week. Work has been so busy that I haven't had a chance to think up new and exciting inspirations. I finally got caught up with everything and had a couple of minutes to look around for some ideas. First off Quirky is IN, according to Style.com. Who better to describe Quirky than Bjork, of course? She is so beautiful and creative. I love everything she comes up with, from swan costumes to crazy face paint. Fortunately for me, I love color and whether it is in or not I will be wearing it.

Probably my new favorite fall 2007 collection would be Fashion East's feature Designer Henry Holland. I just can't get past the fact that London fashion is my passion! The more I see of it, the more I feel like I actually fit in to the Fashion world. NYC is amazing, but to traditional for me. I just like to spice things up! Maybe after school, I will head to London and join the crowd of eccentric fashion. If that doesn't work out, maybe I will have to try to change things up in NYC. Anyways, I would love to own one of these unique, brightly colored T-shirts:

Another one of Fashion East's feature designers, and another one of my favorites, is Gareth Pugh. I love his creativity and attention to creating a unique look (maybe not wearable, but makes a statement). It seems that he is very influenced by the Circus freaks, Jack in the boxes, and the out of the ordinary.

Fashion Shows and Clocktowers

This weekend was a whirlwind of fun. Had a great time at the Femme Fatal Show at the Oriental. It was the first time I have seen a burlesque show, and I thought it was a cool form of art. We also did two fashion shows that night, with Buffalo Exchange, Fabric Lab and a couple of other designers. All my models were great and we all had a good time hanging out.

Today I went on the architecture walk around Denver. It was wonderful seeing all the beautiful buildings and history that goes with them. Of all the wonderful buildings in Denver, we got to see Union Station, Tiatro Hotel, Brown Palace, Colorado History Museum and my favorite! the Lannie's Clock tower. I found out that Lannie's Clock tower also offers a variety of shows in the basement. It is a beautiful space, and my favorite part about it was the unique chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. some had clocks attached and others had old boots hanging on them. Anyways, after our tour I think that I will be visiting Lannie's Clock tower again.

Fashion photoshoot!

This weekend was a blast! had a great time hanging out with friends, going to fashion shows and doing fun photoshoots. Friday night I went to see Blades of Glory. Great movie, Will Ferrell was funnie as usuall, and Gob Bluth made an appearance as well. Arrested Development is my favorite show in the world. I am so bumed that it got canceled. It is good to see the actors in other stuff though. William Arnett (G.O.B. Bluth) and his wife Amy Poehler were awesome in Blades of Glory. I suggest it.

I spent my Saturday working on a photoshoot with Sidney Fox: www.onemodelplace.com/sydneyfox114 . The photoshoot consisted of 10 girls wearing bright tights and shoes, stuffed in a hot Mustang. I think the photos will turn out well, and can't wait to see the finished product. That night I went to the Fabric Lab for their Houte art show. It was a good time and lots of people showed up. Other than that I have just been sewing like crazy, getting ready for Seed, Fashion Denver's Fall fashion market. I have alot of spring clothing and fun spring dresses.
